Nursing allows the mother to pass on vital antibodies to the child.
And is an essential part of the mother-child bond. That bond can exist without, but it is not the same.
The only time bottle feeding is preferred to breast feeding is if the infant has some type of medical issue and are unable to digest their mother's milk.
Or the mother is unable to lactate properly.
