If it's a democrat - big business will work against him if they don't get everything they want. Then again - if it's a Republican that doesn't give them everything they want - they'll work against him, too. Hmmm. This question is harder than I thought.

I do not agree with the term "strongly". I think it affects the economy somewhat, but not anymore than the majority of the house or senate does.
We are not in a slump right now only because of GW Bush, there are many factors that play into the current recession. Last but not least, remember "what goes up, must come down", always!
