You can tell from their tee shirts, the ones that proclaim the Big Bang (or something vaguely similar) took place in the autumn of 4004BC.
They also believe the sun revolves around the earth, the world is flat, and women came from a rib (but they've never specified whether it was a spare rib or a short rib).
Me reckons it musta been a spare rib. :)

I wouldn't say they were radical leftists just uninformed leftists who think they have radically wonderful socialistic ideas that have been proven wrong throughout history.

"Radical leftists" in the USA are people who lean strongly to "the left" politically and it's assumed their point of view is fairly extreme. In general terms, "left" is a liberal viewpoint and is generally more-closely associated with the Democratic party (but they're not one and the same).
I think this question comes from the way poll questions are frequently structured, where the available answers all seem to be options that only a left-leaning person would want to choose, or the questions assume "facts" that are not true.

Yes, there is a difference, which is why I pointed it out.

Left = Liberal = Democratic Party
Right = Conservative = Republican Party
The terms "liberal" and "conservative" can also be used little differently than other places in the world. In fact, to try to use terms like "right," "left," "liberal" and "conservative" in this day and age without some meaningful background information is difficult (and can easily lead to misunderstanding, I think).
In the USA we don't have much (at least today) of a formal socialist movement. Many would argue that the policies of the left are the closest to socialist (government takes care of things, provides social services, etc). The policies of the right would typically be classified in the other direction (smaller government, more "traditional" values). These, however, are broad generalizations and fiscal vs social conservatism and liberalism is a common topic of discussion and debate.. :)

On Guam, no! When you arrive on Guam, they make you quarantine your pets for at least 6 months in a gov animal clinic to watch for any signs of rabies.
There is a majority of Liberal types on this site, but I wouldn't say they have ruined it. While I disagree with some of the opinions here,I still find it interesting to see what people think about issues and express their own philosophical motivations. I enjoy different insights and opinions and hope it continues.
Some people here may be totally apolitical. They may appear to have very decided views but politics may interest them as much as hamsters like hot dogs. Perhaps they note the politicos are so caught up in their isms that it's more fun to turn the heat up when they see the pot boiling over than turn the stove off.
