When two sides are unable to agree on an acceptable resolution, the result is either diplomatic negotiation, or war. Some people in Europe back in the 1930's negotiated with Adolf Hitler to appease him. THAT worked out real well didn't it?
These terrorists that we are fighting don't want peace. It's that simple.
Bill Clinton tried appeasement with North Korea. He paid them billions to get them to cancel their nuclear weapons program. They took the billions and kept right on doing what they were doing.

They kill innocent people to attain power through fear and intimidation. Unfortunately it falls on the shoulders of the biggest kid on the block to stand up to them and that happens to be us (USA). Thank God we have a president with the balls to do it.
"they" are not 'evil' - it's not about 'us vs. them' - that's old school. They see us as 'evil' and the cycle continues. They value their autonomy as much as we value our democracy. We HAVE to think globally. And we have to butt out of their region - we have no business spreading our 'greasy fast food gluttonous infidel' values in their territory.
