Here's an alarming statistic: most police officers in the US that are shot and killed in the line of duty are shot and killed with their own gun. They get into a wrestling match, and the criminal gets their gun and uses it. I always thought that made a good argument for UK's Bobby philosophy - only hire the biggest guys and give them great big billy clubs!

You haven't seen my .25. (lol) Won't go through an aluminum can at 10 feet. With my luck I'd hit a rib, bounce off, then jam. (lol) I'd have to hope it'd slow them down long enough for the dog to get a hold of them gain me enough time to get and load the shot gun ... (hee hee hee)

I'm not sure where that statistic might be, but you can find statistics on police officers killed in the line of duty on www.fbi.gov and also at www.nleomf.com
I would have included a link to that statistic if I had one. Was actually told that by a Cincinnati cop after going through training at the police academy. They had an entire training class devoted to the protection of their side arm if they were attacked suddenly and were unable to unholster their weapon. They were given stern lectures about always keeping the weapon's safety on even if it was in a holster that would keep the trigger protected. And they spent time on the firing range learning how to draw, disengage the safety and fire in a smooth movement.

I guess you gotta throw that one at em--LOL At least get a small 22. Get them in the crotch or head with a pellet gun will stop them..

Good point, and they aren't..
Only when a serial killer has been spotted in the vicinity.
We're not and that makes me feel safer.
