Gay marriage in California: Ask a Question

Finally!: equality for all, not just a select few. And if that "Defence of marriage amendment", that will ban same-sex marriage in California, passes... I will be the fist to challenge that shit.... Popular vote has it's place, but it does not have the right to infringe other peoples rights.... Just how it would be unconstitutional to have a popular vote to ban the bible, it is unconstitutional to prevent people equality and happiness.... And to all you people who support "Civil Unions will equal rights", did you not learn anything from Brown v. Board of Education??? "separate but equal is not equal".

:) your soapbox makes me happy

Wow!! I agree with Cooljuno.

Well i do get a sense of pride when ignorance doesn't get that it was taught a lesson...

There is a cultural difference.... Up in here, calling someone a bitch can be similar to calling someone "dude". I hate the word dude, btw...

based on your comment above, you took offense to it...

Is wanting to be sexually active with someone of the opposite sex a choice?

This comment was deleted.

Just to be clear, so you think all sexual orientation is a choice, there is no genetic predisposition toward hetero- or homo-sexuality. We decide which gender we want to be attracted to... Is that correct?

This comment was deleted.

Well your wrong. Everyone i know who is a gay say they wanted to play with barbie and not G.I. Joe when they were younger, if you know what i mean. And vise-versa for lesbian... Saying it is a "choose" is just ignorant.... It's not a gay mans fault that he can't get off on loose ass bacon strips, and wants something a lil more manlier then a hole that smells like a fish factory...

I disagree with marriage as it was designed in your world.

I think it is. My first sexual experience was with a woman in her 30s that seduced me one summer when I was 15 while delivering the daily paper. She lived in the last house on my route. After that I couldn't even think it was possible getting it on with a dude.

but that so obviously Wasn't a choice (not to mention at least a little illegal). If you hadn't been genetically predisposed to liking ladies, it wouldn't have been possible for her 1) to seduce you or 2) for her to "make you" like women for the rest of your life.

There's a Big difference between choice and consent. He didn't Choose to be attracted to her, he just was. and that's why she was able to seduce him and why it wasn't necessarily rape. Statutory rape, yes, but that's a whole different ball game.

So is wanting to be sexually active with someone of the opposite sex.

Which sex you are attracted to, however, is NOT a matter of choice.

No, it is, like most things dealing with living creatures, a spectrum.

there are a Lot of people who need psychological help on this planet...

Well most that are "bi" are fags in denial and girls who want attention so they make out with a girl when they are drunk.... Saying your "bi" is the easy way out for most guys who are really gay. I'm not saying there aren't people who are "bi", but i am saying most are hiding behind a mask that just doesn't fit...

Love it!

I wonder if it isn't American's early toilet training that makes them so rabid on the subject of gay sex. After all, most gay sex is oral--lesbians almost universally, and a significant fraction of male gay sex. Yet the only thing everyone seems to get up in arms about is anal sex...yeah, maybe it's just those straight people's horrible experiences with toilet training...

*snort* it's sad how blind some folks can be.

you can call it a choice, you can talk about how it's a "real pain in the ass", throw in a comment towards "those odd vegetarians" but by golly, you're not up in arms about anal sex.
