As a new precious metals investor, what's the best metal to start off your investment? Ask a Question

Are you nuts?? I think you have been oversold. I don't believe precious metals have a good future. Maybe over 40-50 years. Reconsider this investment and who's idea this was. There is a lot of marketing that mainly serves to get commissions for the "sellers" or "holders".

It's just a question. I never said I was investing in any of it. But thanks for your response, I'll keep that in mind.

And no, I'm not nuts, though I appreciate your concern.

kk.....sorry. :)

It's all good. I really do appreciate your comment. You have given me something to think about. :)

The question really wasn't based off anyone's investment advice to me. I have some older friends who are investors, and I hear them talking a lot about the merits of my above choices and why one is better than the other. So, just out of curiosity I thought I'd throw this question out here.

I'm thinking about getting started in investing in precious metals, but I'm still far too unsure to make any decisions yet. So all comments, even constructive criticisms, are welcome.

Mags is a tight fisted, financially savvy woman. She's always opinionated when it comes to this stuff, but that's because she learned from experience. Listen to her ... on this topic, anyway ... (hee hee hee)

Hi, Silly! Haha, yes I got that impression. Just slightly. ;)

And I think I will listen to her. She seems to know what is going on (and certainly far better than me, lol).

yes, silly is correct. I have been broke, rich, broke and finally just well off financially. You have to save your money (save first), pay your bills on time, NEVER use too much credit, and help others. Don't let yourself worry about what you see others have, most times they are lying. lol.

Start investing an amount of money you feel comfortable in LOSING.....then if you gain you are a genius. And if you lose it, you did no harm to yourself or your family.

It also takes a very long time to learn to respect money and not to over value money in your life. All my money has a purpose, usually to help others in some way.

OHHHHH and those guys, they like to talk about investments like we like to talk about shoes!!

Don't let them intimadate you. Misery loves company. Learn to talk about "percentages" of gain or loss in the markets, blows their minds!

Haha, that's certainly good to know! I really appreciate your information. Thank you. :)
