He's an incredible communicator, very funny and insightful. I have been with him from day 1 but I just can't take him pounding Obama for 4 or 8 years. BTW weening myself off El Rushbo is proving more difficult than I thought.

I think it's a mistake to assume that I agree with what Rush thinks just because I'm a listener. Sometimes I agree, a lot of times I think he's way off.... but he does it in such a humorous and entertaining way. Rush has the worst, most boring and obsequious callers in talk radio. His callers do not represent the thinking of his audience. Audience is one thing. Callers are an entirely different breed.
I've seen some of that but I think he's more greedy than mean. Rush loves his riches and he can't imagine someone not grabbing all they can as he did. What he fails to realize is that there are truly "poor" people out there who do not have his gifts or talents. They need "help" which will cost us real dollars. Rush often thinks those who are poor are really con men in disguise.

You are more generous of spirit than I am. I think he does know and doesn't care because he can't sell that, and doesn't feel it is his problem anyway.
I listen to everyone and then I decide what I really think is accurate. We all have to be critical thinkers. Rush is funny for sure. I remember the first time I heard his whole feminatsi mantra. I was outraged! When I realized that most of it was his humor, I haven't stopped laughing at it.
I listen to his show when I can, and I subscribe to The Limbaugh Letter. I get the biggest kick out of his creative use of music to articulate situations (e.g., "Barack, the Magic Negro" and "Ain't Got No Home" by Clarence "Frogman" Henry). :-)

I too like to listen to Rush as often as possible. Great entertainment and unfortunately for them he brings out points the liberal democrats would rather forget. You can't say he is untruthful or makes up what he talks about because he always gives audio clip examples of what he is commenting about. A lot of times he has interviews with key politicians. Mostly republicans because I believe liberal democrats are afraid they can't answer what he is going to ask them.
His show is his show. He talks about what he wants to talk about, it is all about what he thinks and his opinions. There is only one solution to Rush. If you don't like what he says or represents, don't listen to him. I don't like or believe some of what he says but that's the way it is. I still listen to him.
Rush knows he has a big audience and the fact that he actually asked them to try to distort the polls by giving false answers, to me is disgusting. I stopped listening to him mainly because he gives me a headache because my blood pressure goes up when I know he is outright lying or distorting the facts. So, I decided why torture myself, plus the fact that I think he is a greedy pig who would turn his country over to anyone who would pay him.
