I like Abba.

"We could jam in Joe's Garage. His momma was screamin', his dad was mad. We was playin' the same old song. It was all we knew, and easy, too. So we wouldn't get it wrong, all we did was bend the string like ..."

"Joe had a girlfriend named Mary ..."

"Watch out where the Huskies go, and don't you eat that yellow snow."

"Why does it hurt when I pee?"

"Looks to me like something funny is going on around here. People laughin' 'n dancin' 'n payin' entirely too much for their beer. And they all think they're clean outta site. And they're ready to party 'cause the sign outside says it's WET T-SHIRT NITE! And they all crave some hot delight ... Well the girls are excited because in a minute they're gonna get wet. And the boys are delighted because all their titties will get them upset ..."

"It looks just like a Telefunken U47. You'll love it ..."

Abba is fun, but Zappa was funnier.

I bought a bunch of Zappa LPs. I bought no Abba LPs. Zappa wins hands down.

If Zappa ever sang about a dancing queen it would really be funny. ;-)

He did "Dancin' Fool"...

Ahhh, my LP buying days ended in 1976 right after my last concert (Pink Floyd).

Sheikh Yerbouti is my favourite Zappa album.

I go back and forth between that and One Size Fits All.

I've got a version of Ozzy Osborne and Dweezle Zappa singing "Stayin' Alive" by the Bee Gees.

Both.

Mercury or Pluto?

Never really got into Zappa. Same as Pink Floyd. ABBA wasn't great shakes either, but it was a more enjoyable brand of music.

"There are more love songs than anything else. If songs could make you do something, we'd all love one another." - Frank Zappa

So…the choice is between a self-professed dental floss tycoon or Scandinavian musical kitsch? Joke aside, I really think both of these contrasting musical styles, not only holds a prominent place in 19th century popular music culture, but also through their impressive song catalogue will be enjoyed by new fans for generations to come...
