still, I think with enough Persistent reminders to the child that s/he will DIE if she eats any peanuts, and with the cafeteria staff Well aware of the allergy/supplied with an epi-pen (which, most schools are, if not in the cafeteria itself) I think there's really no need to Ban that sort of sandwich. You know how fussy kids can be; if my kid refused to eat anything but pb&j I'd be pretty pissed of if s/he couldn't eat it at school because of some other kid's allergy.
It's a sad situation, but I don't think the entire school should have to change its diet for the sake of one kid who, depending on her/his age, is probably pretty embarrassed that mommy went to the school board again and got the policy changed.
