The problem I have with the flat tax is that same wealthy 1% who, in many cases, don't actually get an income save from their various investments, etc. whereas Ms. Jane Smith who is working 3 jobs at minimum wage just to live in a shit appartment and feed her kids on food stamps suddenly has 15% Less income. As if a person could live on minimum wage, anyway.

And I really don't think Either candidate "hasn't accomplished a single thing as a politician since he has been in office." To say so is flat out ignoring heaps of documented records of all the things each of them has accomplished. Judging what he has accomplished, sure, that's fine, I have no problem with that - but to say he's done nothing is just plain ignorant.

Society and the intensity of young love. I suppose that's kind of all of the above, but I just said "no one" since it's nobody in particular.

I don't really care one way or another. It annoys me that politics in this country demand that sort of thing (because he'd be called an elitist muslim if he didn't...) but I feel like now isn't necessarily the time to completely change the way elections are run. Once the presidency is won, yes, then things can change - but until then, it's still the old dogs' game.

And frankly, I was much more creeped out at the endless stream of pictures of Hilary with children on her video on ABC before her speech yesterday. I understand that children and children's rights have been a big part of her political priorities and whatnot but damn. It was a little pied piper, if you ask me.

*shrug* call me a bad feminist, but I think women should be able to make their breasts look however they want. Small breasts are the source of a lot of grief for some women - for women looking at themselves, regardless of what men are or aren't looking at them. Yeah, it would be nice if we could all enjoy how we look, but hey, if you're gonna bitch about wonderbras, you might as well start bitching about makeup, hair care, shoes and everything else women pour billions of dollars into to change their appearances.

Yep. That's what I was going to say. It's a way for two people who love eachother to get special privileges/rights that make living together easier.

I don't believe anybody's life deserves to "be made hell" because of their past actions. Doing so only propagates the violence that was, in some cases, started many many years ago.

All the same, if I learned that the creepy-looking guy across the street who stares at my daughters when they're playing outside was a former rapist, I'd probably tell my daughters to play in the back yard and have them skip his house while selling girl scout cookies.

But then, even If such a creepster wasn't a former rapist, I'd do the same thing. There's a point when it's a matter of self-preservation, but I think that's pretty much independent of a person's past.

I think there's a big difference between "should" and "could" - should? yeah, it might be nice. could? I seriously Seriously doubt it. I have very little faith that any government, even the democracy that we're all supposed to love and respect, could successfully govern 6.5 billion people.
